What was the highlight of Comfort Hotel Hakodate
Clean, comfortable, bland but a reasonable price and accessible.
The room itself was nothing special, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of room I had to walk around even with two double beds and a reasonably sized bathroom. There is nearby (paid) parking just behind the hotel, and it's a short walk from the station and surrounded by plenty of restaurants.
I found the staff polite enough, if perhaps a little stiff and less warm than other places I'd stayed, but not a big deal. My bedroom view was of the alleyway and next doors roof, but nothing unexpected from a budget hotel.

Good location nice place to stay again (4th) The location is very convenience to tourists we can walk just 2 mins to JR station and seafood market and 10 sec to Hakodate Ekimae tram station The staff were great and very helpful,

Overall, value is still good.
Location is just a street away from the train station and right outside the tram station. Close to morning market as well. Breakfast was good as well. Room is a bit bigger and have space for luggages.
Cannot check in early (even if it’s just an hour before the time). Pillows are a bit thin and have to ask for another one since only one was provided.
